    Madonna Postpones Celebration Tour Due to Serious Bacterial Infection

    Pop superstar Madonna has postponed the start of her upcoming tour after being hospitalized in intensive care for a severe bacterial infection. Her manager said the “Vogue” singer is expected to recover fully on Wednesday. Guy Oseary posted a statement on Instagram. “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” the statement read. “Her health is improving. However, she is still under medical care.” The 64-year-old singer was set to kick off her Celebration tour on July 15 in Vancouver. The 84-date world tour celebrated the pop music icon’s decades-long career, including chart-topping hits like Like a Prayer and Vogue.

    The ‘Material Girl singer was rushed to the hospital on Saturday. According to reports, she suffered from a severe bacterial infection and was intubated for at least one night. Her family had been preparing for the worst and was beside her throughout the ordeal. She is expected to recover from the ordeal fully, and her condition is improving daily.

    Madonna looked exhausted and stressed in a series of pictures on her Instagram. She wore an overcoat with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She also posed with her daughter, Lourdes Leon, in a selfie.

    Her illness shocked Madonna’s fans, who flooded the comments section with their concerns. Some fans also shared their prayers and best wishes for her speedy recovery.

    A source close to the star revealed that her family had been preparing for the worst since she was rushed to the hospital on Saturday. She had been feeling unwell for a while and was rushed to the hospital after suffering from extreme pain. The source added that the ‘Material Girl’ singer was intubated for one night and was in critical condition when admitted to ICU.

    The 64-year-old iconic pop music legend is known for her boundary-pushing performances and chart-topping hits over four decades. She is also a global humanitarian who has worked for many causes. She has been involved in AIDS and child rights advocacy. She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work over the years. This year alone, she has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and won two Golden Globes for her Madonna: Live in Concert role.
