Bali To Ban All Mountain Activities After Rise In Unruly Tourist Behaviour

    -

The Island of Bali in Indonesia is a beautiful tourist destination that attracts many travelers across the world. However, after a string of incidents involving misbehaving visitors, the Governor of Bali has decided to ban all tourist activities in the island’s mountains. The move aims to preserve the sanctity of these sacred peaks and uphold a culture of responsible tourism.

The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, announced that the ban will take effect immediately. The decision will affect all domestic and foreign tourists as well as local residents. The ban will restrict popular activities like mountain climbing and hiking. However, the new policy does not exclude locals from visiting the mountains in certain circumstances. For example, if they are needed for religious ceremonies or for responding to natural disasters.

Some of the most famous mountains in Bali include Mount Batur and Mount Agung. These peaks have significant religious significance in Balinese Hinduism and are believed to be the abodes of gods. In the past, several visitors have been accused of damaging these sacred peaks in various ways. Some of these include an American man who gatecrashed a local temple, stripping naked and praying, while another Russian yoga influencer was deported after she posed for pictures on a tree in front of a Hindu shrine. These incidents have raised concerns about the lack of cultural sensitivity amongst tourists in this region.

Despite the controversies, the Island of Bali continues to be one of the most visited destinations in the world. In fact, the popularity of the place has increased over the years. This has led to the rise in unruly tourist behaviour that is putting stress on the environment and local community.

The ban will affect many local Balinese people who make a living out of this type of tourism. They operate as guides and drivers and run businesses like inns near the cliffs. This ban will significantly affect their income and may lead to a decrease in tourist numbers. The government needs to find a balance between preserving the beauty of these cliffs and ensuring that these communities get adequate financial support.

There are many other beautiful tourist attractions in the Island of Bali, including beaches and museums. Some of the best ones to visit include the Royal Palace, The Musical Fountains Show and the Sculpture Garden. There are also a number of great restaurants and bars to choose from in the city of Miami. Some of the best ones to try out include Frostel’s European Cafe, Fritzel’s and The Bass.

Besides this, you can also visit the Wynwood Walls for creative street art, and explore the famous South Beach or Hollywood. Other top spots to see in the city of Miami include the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden and The Phillip and Patricia Frost Science Center. So, what are you waiting for? Plan your trip to this incredible tourist destination soon. The sand, sun and fun are waiting for you!
